Oregon & California Railway

HO Scale - 1935 to 1955
Owner: Bill Baker
Layout Location: near Port Orchard, Washington (Seattle area)
It is an L-shaped roughly 29 ft. by 16 ft. to-be-double-decked HO railroad based on the Natron Cutoff and Pengra Pass through the Cascades.
East end staging (a 4-track reverse loop) is Portland, Oregon while west end staging (another 4-track reverse loop) will be Klamath Falls when completed.
Featured yard is considered Eugene with operations based on helper service to boost trains up the 2 percent graded to Cascade Summit and the turning wye.
Time frame is 1935 to 1955 (with minor fudging!). Steam is KING! (But diesels of the first generation are tolerated.) The O & C is a "DCC-only" railroad using an NCE system and Soundtraxx decoders.
We are located near Port Orchard, Washington (Seattle area). SP fans or modelers are always welcome but I'd appreciate an e-mail contact in advance of visit. That's bill_baker@wavecable.com
